Montana Campus Compact Honors Student Athlete Volunteers Montana Campus Compact (MTCC), a seventeen campus higher education network, will be honoring eleven student-athletes, including Montana Western s Mesa King. Each year Montana Campus Compact recognizes one student-athlete from each MTCC Affiliate Campus across the state who have dedicated their efforts to serving the community while also pursuing their college degrees and certificates while participating in college sports. We are excited to Announce the Following MAIS Award winners for 2020: Mesa King, UM Western Women’s Basketball Mesa’s service activities include being the ASA President (Association of Student Athletes), participating in Champions of Character Assemblies, and volunteering for the Bannack State Park clean up.

Ivy Tech offering food manager course

Dec 26, 2020 KOKOMO — Ivy Tech Community College is offering an instructor-led training course Jan. 5 and 7 to prepare students to take the Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) certification exam. The two-day class will meet in room 223 of Ivy Tech’s building at 1 Ivy Tech Way in Logansport. Indiana Code 410-IAC7-22 requires mandatory certification of at least one person who oversees the food safety operation within each food establishment. This course will prepare individuals to take and pass the 85-question, multiple-choice certification exam. Participants in this course will study sanitation management, food safety hazards, factors that affect food borne illness, personal hygiene, the use and calibration of temperature measuring instruments and many more topics.
